Lee Sun-bin Wins Best Actress Award at 2025 MBC Drama Awards

Actress Lee Sun-bin, known for her public relationship with actor Lee Kwang-soo for eight years, has been honored with the Best Actress Award.

The '2025 MBC Drama Awards' aired on the 30th, with Kim Sung-joo and actress Lee Sun-bin co-hosting the event. Presenters for the Best Actor and Actress in a Miniseries were Lee Jong-won and Chae Soo-bin. Nominees for the Best Actress included Roh Jeong-eui from 'Bunny and the Brothers,' Ra Mi-ran from 'To the Moon,' Seol In-ah from 'Labor Attorney No Moo-jin,' and Lee Sun-bin from 'To the Moon,' with Lee Sun-bin taking home the trophy.

In her acceptance speech, Lee Sun-bin expressed her surprise, saying, "Honestly, I didn't expect this at all, so I didn't prepare anything. I was actually preparing for my next script. I'm not sure if I deserve to be standing here."

She continued, "I received the Rookie Award for 'Missing Nine' eight years ago, and now receiving such an overwhelming award is truly a blessing. 'To the Moon' was the most physically challenging project of my life, but it was also a project where I shared a lot of heart with everyone, including Mi-ran unnie." She added, "I didn't prepare well, so I can't recall all the names of those I need to thank. I'll reach out to them personally to express my gratitude," she said with a smile.

She also thanked her long-time supporters, saying, "To my beloved CEO, who has been with me for 10 years, allowing me to continue my work despite my shortcomings, thank you. And to the teachers who make me look beautiful even on days like today, I am sincerely grateful." She added, "To my family watching at home, mom, dad, and brother, thank you. I want to say thank you for always believing in me, supporting me, and standing by me."

Finally, Lee Sun-bin addressed her fans, "And to my fans, Haekongies. I didn't mention you when I received the Rookie Award. I always wanted to say thank you at an awards ceremony, and it took eight years for that moment to come." She concluded, "Thank you for always supporting me. I love you more and feel sorry for not being able to express it enough. Thank you for this award, and I promise to work harder and remain a humble actress. Thank you."
