Lee Sun-bin's Witty Response to Best Couple Award Promise at 2025 MBC Drama Awards

Lee Sun-bin drew attention with her witty response to a potentially tricky question, as she promised to visit her co-star if they win the Best Couple Award. Previously, she won the Best Actress Award in the mini-series category but made headlines for not mentioning her long-time boyfriend, Lee Kwang-soo, in her acceptance speech.

On the 30th, the '2025 MBC Drama Awards' took place at the MBC Media Center in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.

Nominees for the Best Couple Award included No Jung-eui & Lee Chae-min ('Bunny and the Oppas'), Seo Kang-joon & Jin Ki-joo ('Undercover High School'), Lee Se-young & Na In-woo ('Motel California'), Lee Sun-bin & Kim Young-dae ('To the Moon'), and Kang Tae-oh & Kim Se-jeong ('The Moon Flows Over the River').

As iconic scenes from the dramas were revealed, Lee Sun-bin expressed her excitement, saying, "This is the award I was most looking forward to," and added, "I'm thrilled to be nominated with Kim Young-dae." In response to a question about the difficulty of filming a kissing scene, Kim Young-dae shared, "Usually, the angle is important for capturing the face, but due to Sun-bin's passionate approach, my neck was grabbed. Adjusting the angle resulted in a beautiful scene."

When Kim Sung-joo commented, "Lee Sun-bin seems to know well," Kim Young-dae added, "She's more experienced than I am, so she knows how to look good on camera." Lee Sun-bin candidly explained, "It's a scene that requires a lot of practice like an action scene, so that's probably why I said that. It's embarrassing."

Lee Sun-bin humorously promised, "Since Young-dae is enlisting soon, I might visit him as a couple," as a pledge for the Best Couple Award. When asked to choose between Kim Young-dae and Kim Sung-joo, she chose Kim Young-dae, but when asked to choose between Kim Young-dae and Lee Kwang-soo, she cleverly answered "Kim Sung-joo," showcasing her wit.
