Kim Jin-kyung Announces Pregnancy at 2025 SBS Entertainment Awards

Kim Jin-kyung, who married soccer player Kim Seung-gyu in 2024, has announced that she is expecting their first child.

On the afternoon of the 30th, the '2025 SBS Entertainment Awards' took place at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, hosted by Jun Hyun-moo, Cha Tae-hyun, and Lee Su-ji.

The Best Female Award was presented to Lee Hyun-yi and Kim Jin-kyung from 'Kick a Goal'. Kim Jin-kyung expressed her gratitude, saying, "My family must have been surprised to suddenly have a soccer player in the family, but they have always supported me. I want to thank and express my love to my husband, Kim Seung-gyu, who has always cherished me and given me both encouragement and discipline."

Kim Jin-kyung also shared a surprising announcement, stating, "It seems like it's time for me to take a break from the soccer I love," and revealed, "I am expecting a child. Our baby is growing healthily. Although I will miss playing soccer, I will return in good health."

Lee Hyun-yi added, "This award is not just for me but for the production teams of 'Kick a Goal' and 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'. I have many roles these days, as a broadcaster, model, mother, wife, and daughter. Being a working mom means I always feel sorry to everyone. I lived this year with a constant sense of apology. This year marks my 20th anniversary since debut, and I will accept this award as encouragement for my hard work."

Born in 1997, Kim Jin-kyung married Kim Seung-gyu, who is seven years her senior, on June 17 last year. Kim Jin-kyung is active as a midfielder for the FC Tall and Beautiful team on SBS's 'Kick a Goal'. She and Kim Seung-gyu bonded over their shared interest in soccer, leading to their relationship and eventual marriage. Additionally, Kim Seung-gyu's annual salary is reported to be 2 billion KRW.

Meanwhile, this year's Grand Prize contenders include Yoo Jae-suk, Jun Hyun-moo, Tak Jae-hoon, Shin Dong-yup, Lee Sang-min, Seo Jang-hoon, and Ji Seok-jin, who are all competing fiercely for the top honor.
