Director Park Won-guk Expresses Confidence in New Drama 'Spring Fever'
On the 29th, the production presentation for tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Spring Fever' was held online, attended by actors Ahn Bo-hyun, Lee Joo-been, and director Park Won-guk.
tvN's new drama 'Spring Fever' (directed by Park Won-guk, written by Kim Ah-jung, planned by CJ ENM STUDIOS, produced by Bon Factory) is a hot pink romance that will melt even the coldest hearts, featuring the chilly teacher Yoon Bom (played by Lee Joo-been) and the passionate man Sun Jae-kyu (played by Ahn Bo-hyun).
Based on a popular web novel of the same name, 'Spring Fever' is directed by Park Won-guk, who previously helmed 'Marry My Husband', a drama that achieved the highest ratings for a Monday-Tuesday slot on tvN. Given the success of his previous work, there is considerable pressure to deliver.
He further commented, "The script was so interesting that I felt I had to direct it," and emphasized, "I focused on capturing unexpected specialness. I believed in the actors and thought it was important to capture them well on camera, so I approached filming with trust in the two actors."
tvN's 'Marry My Husband' featured actors Park Min-young, Lee Yi-kyung, and Song Ha-yoon, who delivered outstanding performances. However, Song Ha-yoon faced school violence allegations after the show ended, leading to a hiatus, and Lee Yi-kyung was embroiled in rumors about his personal life, resulting in his departure from some variety shows.
tvN's 'Spring Fever' is set to premiere on January 5, 2026, at 8:50 PM.
