Lee Chan-won Shines with Dance and Vocals on 'Immortal Songs' Year-End Special
On the December 27th episode of KBS2TV's 'Immortal Songs', the '2025 Year-End Special - Trot Kingdom: Game of Thrones' was featured.
The episode presented a fiery showdown between 'Traditional Trot Prince' Lee Chan-won and 'New Trot Prince' Son Tae-jin, under the concept of 'Trot Kingdom Ruling the World with Songs'.
Supporting Lee Chan-won's 'Traditional Trot Team' were Shin Shin-ae, Kim Soo-chan, Yoon Soo-hyun, Shin Sung, Hwang Yoon-sung, Na Sang-do, Son Bin-ah, and Hwang Min-ho. Meanwhile, Son Tae-jin's 'New Trot Team' included Shin Baram Lee Park-sa, Hwanhee, Cheon Rok-dam, Chun-gil, Heo Kyung-hwan, Giant Pink, Lee Chang-min, Kim Junsu, Kim Da-hyun, and Liberante.
As the leader of the Traditional Trot Team, Lee Chan-won captivated viewers with a bold transformation, stepping away from his usual calm image. Kim Jun-hyun described Lee's performance as groundbreaking, to which Lee humorously responded that while it might be ordinary for others, it was groundbreaking for him.
In the following performance, Lee introduced his 'darling' hidden card, Hwang Yoon-sung, heating up the atmosphere once again. Together, they delivered a deep and serene rendition of 'Cherry', contrasting with the previous dance stage. Shin Dong-yup introduced Hwang as Lee's special close friend. Son Tae-jin humorously claimed to be more than a friend, akin to family, to which Lee retorted that bringing family on the show is legally impossible, causing laughter.
Lee Chan-won shared news about his father, Lee Hyung-geun, eagerly awaiting a TV appearance from their home in Daegu. Lee humorously mentioned preventing his father from catching the 'celebrity bug' but hinted at a future appearance, raising anticipation. Thanks to Lee's dynamic performances and emotional duets, the Traditional Trot Team ultimately clinched victory, concluding the year-end special on a high note.
