Taeyeon Addresses Leadership Rumors on 'Amazing Saturday'

On the latest episode of tvN's 'Amazing Saturday,' Taeyeon addressed rumors about her leadership role among girl groups.

The episode, aired on the 27th, featured '99-line friends' singers Dayoung, Chuu, and Lee Chaeyeon.

During the show, MC Boom humorously revealed, "Lee Chaeyeon is actually an early 2000-born, starting with number 4 in her ID," which caused laughter. Dayoung, who had been treating her as a peer, joked, "Being an early-born is an issue. Shouldn't we establish some order?" However, when Chuu asked, "Do you want to be called unnie?" they amicably resolved the matter.

Kim Dong-hyun pointed out Chuu's 'fake reactions' from their time together on 'Steel Troops.' He said, "When we met earlier, she said, 'It's been so long, oppa,' in a mechanical way." Chuu defended herself, saying it was a genuine reaction.

Dayoung expressed gratitude towards Moon Se-yoon, crediting him as a key figure in the viral success of WJSN Chocome's 'Hmph.' Moon Se-yoon responded warmly, "That led to 'Boogdung.' I was so happy when Dayoung succeeded," showcasing their friendship.

Lee Chaeyeon expressed her desire to learn from Shin Dong-yup, saying, "I want to learn cunningness, speed, and stealing skills that come with experience." However, she ended up on Hanhae's team instead.

Dayoung, once noted for her resemblance to Shin Dong-yup, humorously appealed, "Dad, I might have changed a bit, but don't you recognize me?" Having transformed into a study-abroad style, she explained, "I studied abroad," and was warmly embraced by Shin Dong-yup, who selected her as a team member.

Meanwhile, during the dictation segment, Choi Yena's 'If It's Not You' was the challenge, causing panic among the members. At the chance selection moment, the three '99-line members opted for 70% listening, but veteran member Taeyeon suggested 'full spacing.'

When P.O commented, "The juniors are saying that," Taeyeon conceded, "70% listening is trendy," but ultimately, the girl group juniors unanimously agreed with Taeyeon's 'full spacing' suggestion. In the world of girl groups, where hierarchy is clear, Taeyeon joked, "I didn't kick any shins," adding humor to the situation.
