On the December 26th episode of Channel A's 'My Golden Kids', a year-end special featured Lee Sang-in and his three sons.
Previously, Dr. Oh Eun-young made headlines when she halted filming after observing the behavior of Lee's eldest son, later diagnosing him with autism spectrum disorder during an emergency consultation.

The family faced additional challenges, including the aggressive behavior of the second and third sons towards their eldest sibling and the mother's suspected depression due to the pressures of solo parenting. The mother expressed her distress, saying she wanted to 'resign from being a housewife,' which added to the emotional weight of the situation. Dr. Oh had even suggested the family consider moving for a fresh start.
Despite these challenges, the family chose to remain in Miryang, stating, "We didn't fail to escape; we chose to stay. We feared that a sudden change in environment would disrupt our children's social connections." They decided to face their challenges head-on without relocating.

The mother shared that her perspective on her children has changed, saying, "We confronted the issues directly. I found peace, and the children have grown. I am grateful for the opportunity to openly say, 'This is my child,' without feeling guilt. If we hadn't appeared on 'My Golden Kids,' life would have been much harder." She expressed her gratitude to Dr. Oh Eun-young for her supportive advice, emphasizing that the challenges were not the parents' fault.
