Actress Kim Hye-jung has opened up about her solitary life in the mountains.

Recently, a video titled "[Special] Has 'Country Diary' Kim Hye-jung Become a Naturalist Living Alone in the Mountains?" was uploaded on MBN's 'Exclusive World' official channel.

The video features Kim Hye-jung, who was beloved for her role as 'Bok-gil's mom' in the drama 'Country Diary,' along with actor Lee Gye-in. In the broadcast, Kim Hye-jung revealed her daily life living alone in a 1,000-pyeong house located in a remote mountain area, capturing viewers' attention.

Kim Hye-jung lives a humble life with two geese, chickens, and a dog, climbing the mountain daily. The house she currently resides in was purchased about 29 years ago and remodeled by her. She expressed a special affection for the place, saying, "The owner of this house is a pine tree over 100 years old."

When asked if she is afraid of living alone in the remote mountains, Kim Hye-jung laughed and said, "Four police officers patrol several times a day. There are CCTV cameras, and there's nothing to steal."

Actor Lee Gye-in, who formed a connection with Kim through 'Country Diary,' also appeared as a guest on the show. The two have maintained a long-standing friendship since the drama. Kim Hye-jung confessed to feeling a great void after 'Country Diary' ended. She said, "I spent so much time on it that when I looked in the mirror, I wasn't Kim Hye-jung; I was still Bok-gil's mom. It was sad because the traces were all over my face," revealing that she struggled with depression as she couldn't escape the role.

She continued, "A tremendous emptiness and fear came over me, and I experienced symptoms like panic disorder, to the point where I couldn't breathe." She added, "There were many nights when I curled up like a snail and cried all night," sharing her feelings at the time.
