Moon Sang-min and Nam Ji-hyun Star in KBS Drama 'Beloved Thief'

Actor Moon Sang-min, who will host the 'KBS Drama Awards' for the second consecutive year, is set to star alongside actress Nam Ji-hyun in the drama 'Beloved Thief.'

Premiering on January 3rd on KBS 2TV, the new weekend mini-series 'Beloved Thief' tells the story of Hong Eun-jo (played by Nam Ji-hyun), a woman who becomes the greatest thief by chance, and Lee Yeol (played by Moon Sang-min), a prince who was chasing her. Their souls switch, leading to a dangerous yet grand romance where they save each other and ultimately protect the people.

In the drama, Prince Lee Yeol and Im Jae-yi (played by Hong Min-ki), the son of a powerful family, both find themselves drawn to the medical woman Hong Eun-jo. As they vie for her affection, a tense rivalry ensues, highlighting the charm points of the two men who will shake Hong Eun-jo's heart.

Prince Lee Yeol, with his noble appearance and abilities, pretends to be a carefree wanderer to protect his people. While indulging in his carefree lifestyle, he becomes engrossed in chasing the thief Gil-dong, who stirs up the capital. However, fate intervenes when he falls for Hong Eun-jo, unaware that she is actually Gil-dong. The question remains whether his straightforward pursuit of her heart will succeed.

On the other hand, Im Jae-yi, the son of the influential court official Im Sa-hyung (played by Choi Won-young), appears to lead an enviable life, naturally taking the lead among his peers. Yet, beneath his strong exterior lies the limitation of having to conform to his father's wishes. Meeting Hong Eun-jo marks a turning point in his obedient life, awakening emotions he has never experienced before. As he encounters Hong Eun-jo, Im Jae-yi's newfound desires create tension and intrigue.

'Beloved Thief' will premiere on January 3rd at 9:20 PM.
