On the 16th, Lee Yi-kyung's agency, Sangyoung ENT, released a statement addressing the rumors and speculative reports about Lee's exit from the show. The agency stated, "We wish to correct the spread of misinformation and rumors regarding our actor Lee Yi-kyung's departure from MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo?'."

The agency explained, "We were informed of the decision during a meeting with the show's production team, who stated that it was a decision made from above and would not be reversed." They further clarified, "We only expressed our disappointment with the decision and did not question whether it was influenced by Yu Jae-seok's opinion."

The agency also mentioned that on the day of the departure notice, Lee Yi-kyung had a conversation with Yu Jae-seok, where they shared their regrets, ending with Yoo's supportive words, 'Let's talk later.' They emphasized, "Since then, Lee Yi-kyung has not mentioned Yu Jae-seok even once." The agency urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified rumors or speculative reports.

Previously, Lee Yi-kyung was embroiled in personal life rumors due to a post by a German woman. Following this, he exited 'Hangout with Yoo?' and his potential role as an MC on KBS2's 'The Return of Superman' also fell through. Legal proceedings are currently underway.
