Seo Eun-soo Embraces Her Role in Disney+'s 'Made in Korea' with Immersive Transformation
Seo Eun-soo revealed that her transformation, including makeup and styling, helped her fully immerse into her character in 'Made in Korea'.

On the 15th, a press conference for the Disney+ original series 'Made in Korea' was held at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas Hotel in Samseong-dong, Seoul. The event was attended by director Woo Min-ho and actors Hyun Bin, Jung Woo-sung, Woo Do-hwan, Seo Eun-soo, Won Ji-an, Jung Sung-il, Kang Gil-woo, Noh Jae-won, and Park Yong-woo.

'Made in Korea' is set in the 1970s and follows Baek Ki-tae (played by Hyun Bin), a man who aims to reach the pinnacle of wealth and power by using the nation as a business model, and prosecutor Jang Geon-young (played by Jung Woo-sung), who is on his trail. The series is directed by Woo Min-ho, known for films like 'Harbin', 'The Man Standing Next', and 'Inside Men'.

Hyun Bin takes on the role of Baek Ki-tae, a section chief at the Central Intelligence Agency. Jung Woo-sung plays Jang Geon-young, a prosecutor at the Busan District Prosecutors' Office. Seo Eun-soo portrays Oh Ye-jin, an investigator at the Busan District Prosecutors' Office who works alongside Jang Geon-young to chase down a crime cartel.

Seo Eun-soo described her character, saying, "Oh Ye-jin is a rookie in society and an investigator in the 1970s when there were no female prosecutors. She is inspired by Jang Geon-young's fiery passion and dreams of becoming a prosecutor, growing as a person."

In the series, Oh Ye-jin's curly perm is her trademark. Seo Eun-soo shared, "From makeup to styling, everything was done to help me become Oh Ye-jin. It felt like putting on a mask and going to act, which gave me confidence." She added, "The director also provided ideas for a hairstyle that suited Ye-jin better. It took about two hours to style my hair."

'Made in Korea' will be available on Disney+ with two episodes releasing on December 24, two more on December 31, and one each on January 7 and January 14, totaling six episodes.
