Korean Actress Jeon Won-Ju Shares Her Secrets to Amassing Wealth

Korean actress Jeon Won-Ju recently revealed her secrets to accumulating wealth.

On the October 10th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block,' Jeon, known as a master investor, shared her journey of turning an initial investment of 5 million won in 1987 into a staggering 3 billion won. She discussed her strategy for achieving a 600% return on her stock investments, stating, "I personally verify the company's reliability and stability. I also assess the trustworthiness of the people working there by observing their impressions. I studied physiognomy during my time at Sookmyung Women's University," highlighting her consistent investment approach.

Jeon expressed her enjoyment in saving, saying, "The bank even comes to me personally. I've never had to go there myself. They call to schedule a visit." She added, "Entering the bank's VIP room and saying, 'Put this in, put that in,' is an incredible feeling. My clothes are cheap," to which host Yoo Jae-suk responded with amazement, calling her a "true wealthy person."

Jeon also shared her approach to 'gold investing,' saying, "I don't buy anything else. I collect gold scraps and make keys to store them." She added, "Living comfortably in old age is wonderful. When my children bring side dishes, I give them cash gifts."

Reflecting on her comfortable lifestyle in her later years, she said, "I feel like I've lived well by saving."

Born in 1939, Jeon Won-Ju is now 86 years old. She debuted as a voice actress in 1963 with Dong-A Broadcasting's first open recruitment and has since been active in dramas, films, and variety shows, beloved for her unique wit and energetic personality. Recently, she launched her own channel, continuing to engage audiences with her candid stories.
