Comedian Na-rae Park Faces Controversy: YouTube Subscribers Decline Amid Scandals
On November 9, a video titled '8 Hours of Kimchi Making and IV Booking with Na-rae Park and Jae-hyung Jung' was made private on MBC's 'I Live Alone' official YouTube channel.
In the video, Na-rae Park and composer Jae-hyung Jung were seen making kimchi together. After a long day of kimchi preparation, Jae-hyung Jung jokingly suggested, "We should book an IV for tomorrow," to which Na-rae Park responded, "Let's book it together," implying agreement.
This scene was part of the December 13, 2024, broadcast. Given the current allegations of illegal medical practices against Na-rae Park, the mention of 'IV' in the video is believed to be the reason for its removal.
Meanwhile, former managers who have filed a lawsuit against Na-rae Park claim that she ordered personal errands and verbally abused them for not drinking alcohol. They also raised issues regarding payment for expenses. In response, Na-rae Park's side has counter-sued, alleging that the managers demanded 10% of the company's previous year's revenue, intensifying the legal battle.
Additionally, Na-rae Park is embroiled in allegations of receiving medical treatment from an unlicensed individual, identified as Mr. Lee, and taking antidepressants without a prescription. Na-rae Park's representatives have clarified that they believed Mr. Lee had a medical license and denied any involvement with substances like propofol, stating that only simple nutritional injections were administered.
The controversy has further escalated with reports linking SHINee member Key, an acquaintance of Na-rae Park, to Mr. Lee, adding to the growing fallout.
