Cha Tae-hyun Opens Up About Finally Calling His Son's Name After College Entrance Exam

Actor Cha Tae-hyun recently shared a heartfelt story about why he couldn't call his son's name during his senior year of high school.

On the 7th, a video titled "Is Suchan Really Okay? ㅠ" was uploaded on Jung Jae-hyung's channel 'Fairy Jae-hyung.'

In the video, Jung Jae-hyung hesitated and cautiously mentioned to Cha Tae-hyun, "I asked him to eat, but Suchan said after he's done..." To this, Cha Tae-hyun humorously responded, "I can finally call his name now," expressing his newfound comfort in saying his son's name.

Cha Tae-hyun continued, "Regardless of the college entrance exam results, my son changed completely right after it ended. Although it seems he didn't do well, he talks a lot more and his expressions have changed. My daughters were surprised, saying, 'Oppa is talking!'" He shared how the atmosphere at home has transformed.

Jung Jae-hyung was amazed and asked, "So you can call your son's name now?" Cha Tae-hyun, filled with emotion, replied, "They say people change when they turn 20, and he changed right on the day of the exam. It's the first time in six years I've seen Suchan smile. It's incredible."

Reflecting on his son's exam period, Cha Tae-hyun said, "Talking about my son on shows made me cautious not to upset him, so I avoided mentioning his name. People in the entertainment industry found this situation amusing. Nowadays, my son keeps coming out of his room and walking around," he added, finding humor in the changed household dynamics.

Meanwhile, Cha Tae-hyun married his first love, Choi Seok-eun, whom he met in his second year of high school, after 13 years of dating. The couple has one son and two daughters.
