Reunion After a Decade: Seo Ji-woo and Lee Kyung-do's Emotional Encounter in 'Waiting for Kyungdo'
The first episode of JTBC's new weekend drama 'Waiting for Kyungdo,' aired on the 6th, depicted the reunion of Seo Ji-woo with her former lover, Lee Kyung-do.
Lee Kyung-do, who wrote an article about the affair of Seo Ji-woo's husband, Jo Jin-eon, expressed his regret over the impact on Seo Ji-woo's life. While drinking, he lamented, "Why does her life have to be like this? Why can't she live quietly? Even if she marries, it has to be with someone like that. Ugh."
Seo Ji-woo's husband was embroiled in a scandal with an actress. Lee Kyung-do, meeting with acquaintances, complained, "I argued with my editor. I said this is a social issue, not an entertainment piece."
Seo Ji-woo thanked him, saying, "Thanks for the article. I'm tearfully grateful because it led to my divorce." Lee Kyung-do, burdened with guilt, replied, "Just hit me already." Seo Ji-woo continued, "My marriage was like an M&A. We were at a disadvantage. My depression, panic disorder, and infertility were all my fault. Rumor has it I'm infertile, right? Knowing we weren't in love, the affair wasn't shocking, but it was humiliating."
Meanwhile, 'Waiting for Kyungdo' is a romance drama about Lee Kyung-do (played by Park Seo-joon) and Seo Ji-woo (played by Won Ji-an), who reunite as a journalist covering a scandal and the wife of the scandal's subject after two failed relationships.
