Lee Junho and Kim Minha deliver a thrilling comeback amidst a series of crises in the latest episode of 'Typhoon Family.'

The 13th episode of tvN's weekend drama 'Typhoon Family' (directed by Lee Na-Jeong & Kim Dong-Hwi, written by Jang Hyun), aired on the 22nd, achieved a nationwide household rating of 7.3%, peaking at 8.8%, and a metropolitan household rating of 7.3%, peaking at 8.7%, securing the top spot across all channels, including terrestrial networks, during its time slot. (Based on Nielsen Korea's data for cable, IPTV, and satellite combined paid platforms)

In a dramatic turn of events, Oh miseon (played by Kim Minha) survives a warehouse fire and, amidst the fear of death, finally confesses her feelings to Kang Taepung (played by Lee Junho). Trapped in the flames, her thoughts were not of dreams or work but of unspoken words to her family. Regrets about not saying goodbye to her grandmother Yeom buni (played by Kim Young-ok), not advising her sister Oh miho (played by Kwon Hansol) to quit her department store job, and not packing underwear for Oh bum (played by Kwon Eunsung) flooded her mind. Most of all, the feelings she hadn't expressed to Taepung weighed heavily on her heart. Upon waking in the hospital, she immediately confessed, "I like you, let's date."

However, the fire Oh miseon narrowly escaped was no accident. Pyo hyunjoon (played by Moo Jinseong) deliberately set the fire after coercing Cha suntaek (played by Kim Jaehwa) to reveal the delivery date and storage location of surgical gloves. With the entire stock of surgical gloves destroyed in the warehouse fire, Typhoon Trading faced another critical crisis. With only a week left before the delivery deadline, the U.S. headquarters Eagles informed them that production would be delayed by three months due to material supply issues, and the procurement office refused to accept a delivery extension request. If they failed to resolve this, the contract would automatically pass to the second bidder, Pyo sangseon, leading to bankruptcy.

In a bid to prevent bankruptcy, Kang Taepung discovered an unexpected fact while searching for alternative supplies. Pyo sangseon, confident of winning the bid, had already placed a massive order of 3 million units with Eagles two weeks prior. This was a burden even for Pyo sangseon, as it was a scale difficult to handle within a year in the domestic market. Realizing this, Kang Taepung urgently pleaded with Pyo hyunjoon to sell the gloves, even bowing deeply, but was met with mockery and ridicule.

Feeling cornered, Kang Taepung spent a night drinking alone, for the first time realizing the weight his father had borne. He was tormented by memories of ignoring his father in the past. The situation took a new turn with Cha suntaek's suspicious actions. On the brink of her husband's business collapse, Cha suntaek had no choice but to accept money from Pyobakho (played by Kim Sangho), and in return, her son was threatened, pushing her to her limits. Caught by Kang Taepung while searching the office, Cha suntaek revealed the existence of a promissory note, shocking Kang Taepung with the truth. He was torn between resentment towards Cha suntaek for betraying his father and understanding her desperate situation to protect her son.

The next day, Kang Taepung confronted Pyobakho, demanding he sell the gloves. When Pyobakho taunted him about his financial strength, Kang Taepung turned the tables by shaking his confidence. Knowing Pyo sangseon's struggle with the 3 million-unit inventory, he logically pressured Pyobakho, stating that not selling the gloves would only lead to mounting losses. He further mentioned the 'money taken' from his father, hitting Pyobakho's sensitive spot, causing his expression to waver. Using the promissory note revealed by Cha suntaek as leverage, Kang Taepung executed a meticulous 'bluff,' making it seem as if he already had it in hand. It was a moment that highlighted Kang Taepung's firm resolve to regain control even at the brink.

The bluff worked, and upon learning that his father Pyobakho had handed over the gloves to Taepung, Pyo hyunjoon couldn't contain his anger and stormed onto the scene. In a tense moment where it seemed he might punch Kang Taepung, Oh miseon, filled with rage, appeared. Sensing that Pyo hyunjoon was behind the warehouse fire, she delivered a fiery punch to his cheek, providing a thrilling catharsis.

Episode 14 of 'Typhoon Family' will air on Sunday, the 23rd, at 9:10 PM on tvN.
