'Dynamite Kiss' Breaks Its Own Viewership Record with Episode 4
The SBS drama 'Dynamite Kiss', starring Ahn Eun-jin and Jang Ki-yong, has broken its own viewership record. Previously, the drama recorded a 4.0% viewership rating for its second episode.

According to Nielsen Korea, the fourth episode of 'Dynamite Kiss' aired on November 20, achieved a 6.5% viewership rating in the Seoul metropolitan area and 6.3% nationwide, setting a new personal best. This rating not only topped all channels in its time slot but also ranked first among all weekday mini-series. The peak viewership moment reached 7.8%, and the 2049 demographic rating also peaked at 2.29%, making it the top broadcast on Thursday.

The episode featured a comedic romance where Gong Ji-hyeok (played by Jang Ki-yong) mistakenly believes Go Da-rim (played by Ahn Eun-jin) is a married woman with a child. Despite meeting Go Da-rim's fake husband, Kim Sun-woo (played by Kim Moo-jun), Gong Ji-hyeok couldn't let go of his feelings for her and heroically appeared when she was in danger, creating a thrilling ending that captivated viewers.

Previously, Gong Ji-hyeok had thrown a report made by Go Da-rim and her team into a swimming pool. Despite not being able to swim, Go Da-rim jumped into the water, struggling, prompting Gong Ji-hyeok to dive in to save her. The moment when the two locked eyes while close together in the water left viewers breathless.

From that point, Gong Ji-hyeok's 'tsundere' personality shone through. Despite his cold demeanor, he reviewed the report Go Da-rim brought and provided feedback. He also offered her a ride, covering her with clothes and turning on the heater after she was soaked. When loan sharks threatened Go Da-rim, he held her hand tightly and ran away, creating a romantic atmosphere between them. However, the mood shifted when Go Da-rim's fake husband, Kim Sun-woo, appeared.

Later, Gong Ji-hyeok encountered Go Da-rim and her daughter at a hospital he visited for his mother. Realizing why Go Da-rim was desperate to stay at the company, he reluctantly accepted her back into the Mother TF team, telling her to forget about their past kiss. Although relieved, Go Da-rim felt an inexplicable emptiness.

Meanwhile, Gong Ji-hyeok and Go Da-rim unintentionally kissed again during an event for their new 'live commerce' project. Despite pretending otherwise, the explosive chemistry between them was undeniable. Gong Ji-hyeok even retrieved a lost prize for Go Da-rim and defended her when another team leader scolded her, declaring, "Go Da-rim is my team member. If anyone is to scold her, it will be me, and I will take responsibility." His growing affection for Go Da-rim brought smiles to viewers.

That night, as Go Da-rim was leaving work, she was kidnapped by loan sharks demanding repayment for her missing brother's debt. Tied up and threatened, Gong Ji-hyeok appeared like a superhero, waving a black card and asking, "How much? Can I pay with a card?" His dazzling smile and the sight of the black card, along with Go Da-rim's shocked expression, concluded the episode.

Episode 4 of 'Dynamite Kiss' captured the fast-paced and quirky development of Gong Ji-hyeok and Go Da-rim's relationship, which started with a 'natural disaster-level' kiss and turned into a 'love-hate' dynamic, yet they continued to be drawn to each other. The thrilling ending, where Gong Ji-hyeok heroically saved Go Da-rim, maximized the 'rom-com fun.' The evolving romance chemistry between Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin shone brighter with each episode.

SBS's 'Dynamite Kiss' airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 PM.
