Singer Lee Seok-hoon Reveals Why He Started Wearing Glasses

Singer Lee Seok-hoon shared the story behind his signature glasses look, revealing it was a suggestion from his agency's CEO during his debut days.

On Kim Jaejoong's YouTube channel 'Jae's Friend,' a video titled 'The Perfect Way to Spend the Year-End with Ecological Eyes and Can-Can Dance' was uploaded.

In the video, Kim Jaejoong asked Lee Seok-hoon, "I'm really curious, why do you wear glasses?" Lee Seok-hoon responded, "It goes back to my debut days in 2008. After recording the album and during the jacket photo shoot, the CEO casually said, 'Hey, put glasses on him.'"

Lee Seok-hoon continued, "That's when I started wearing glasses. If the CEO hadn't come to the studio that day, I wouldn't be wearing them now." He added, "The 'glasses guy' character was created by the CEO. I could take them off now, but glasses are like a tattoo to me."

Lee Seok-hoon explained, "I've been active for over 15 years with this glasses look, and it might be unsettling to change it now. People are used to this face, and I don't want to cause confusion."

He added, "But I do take off my glasses when performing in musicals." Kim Jaejoong jokingly asked, "What if people don't recognize you as the lead?" Lee Seok-hoon replied, "They come to see me, so they check the casting." Kim Jaejoong continued, "What if they say you look like Lee Seok-hoon?"

Kim Ji-woo, who was present, shared, "There are people like that around me. They came to see the show and said, 'That person sounds like Lee Seok-hoon,' and I told them it was him. They thought he was an actor because he acted so well," causing laughter.
