Yoon Kye-sang and Jin Sun-kyu Reunite After 8 Years for 'Heroes Next Door'

Actors Yoon Kye-sang and Jin Sun-kyu are reuniting after eight years.

On the 17th, a press conference for the coupang play X Genie TV original series 'Heroes Next Door' was held at a hotel in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by actors Yoon Kye-sang, Jin Sun-kyu, Kim Ji-hyun, Ko Kyu-phil, Lee Jung-ha, and director Jo Woong.

'Heroes Next Door' is a thrilling and humorous story about a group of former special forces soldiers who come together not to protect the country or world peace, but solely for their families and neighborhood.

Yoon Kye-sang and Jin Sun-kyu are reuniting for the first time since 'The Outlaws' eight years ago. Yoon Kye-sang commented, "This time it's more intense. Our chemistry is better. I really like (Jin) Sun-kyu. I respect him both as a person and an actor, so I don't know if it's because of that or if our chemistry is truly destined," eliciting laughter.

Jin Sun-kyu responded, "It feels like destiny. It's like the chemistry of 'sotteok sotteok' (a popular Korean street food). We look different, so it might seem like we wouldn't match, but like the juicy sausage and chewy rice cake, it's delicious and something you can enjoy at a rest stop," he explained. To this, Yoon Kye-sang jokingly apologized, "I'm sorry. It's cheesy."

'Heroes Next Door' premieres on coupang play and Genie TV at 10 PM on the 17th and will also be broadcast simultaneously on ENA.
