Go Woo-rim Reveals Secret Nickname for Kim Yuna During Their Dating Days

Go Woo-rim, a member of the crossover group Forestella, unveiled a secret nickname for his wife, figure skating legend Kim Yuna, from their dating days on the latest episode of KBS 2TV's 'New Release Pyeonstorang' aired on the 14th.

During the show, Go Woo-rim shared insights into his relationship with Kim Yuna, expressing his determination to win the cooking competition despite his wife's encouragement to participate without pressure. He confidently stated, "I have a kimchi recipe that everyone loves, and I'm going to give it my best shot."

Admiring Lee Jung-hyun's second daughter, Seo-woo, Go commented, "The baby is so cute," to which Lee humorously suggested, "You should have a baby soon," eliciting warm laughter.

Before the shoot, Go Woo-rim, who recently had his first photo shoot, revealed, "My wife, the photo shoot expert, gave me some tips." He added, "She advised me to tuck in my chin and not to tense my mouth when trying to look cool."

Forestella members Kang Hyung-ho, Bae Doo-hoon, and Cho Min-kyu joined the scene. In a playful skit, they teased Go Woo-rim about his wife's fame, to which he proudly responded, "It's my wife who's famous, not me."

For his first dish, Go prepared a 'Kwadang Salad' (a mix of snacks and carrots), prompting Cho Min-kyu to recall their secret dating days, saying, "I wondered why carrots were included, but now I see the love story behind it."

The members revealed they had kept the couple's three-year secret relationship under wraps. Cho Min-kyu explained, "We couldn't mention her name with staff around, so we called her 'Carrot' to avoid suspicion."

Even now, Kim Yuna is affectionately saved as 'Carrot' in their phones. Bae Doo-hoon praised both Go and Kim for their cooking skills, joking that Go could have succeeded in the restaurant business. Go humbly admitted, "I thought I was good, but my wife is even better at cooking. She has a great sense of taste."

During cooking, when Go asked for "10 more minutes," Bae quipped, "We waited 1 year and 6 months for you during your military service," while Kang added, "We waited more eagerly than Kim Yuna did. Our livelihood depends on it," causing laughter. Cho humorously remarked, "For her, it's just a rubber shoe; for us, it's the real deal."

Cho Min-kyu, the only unmarried member of Forestella, expressed envy, saying, "It's impressive to see the wives picking up their husbands after late-night rehearsals." Go Woo-rim added, "Our wives are like 'Tetonyeo' (a term for supportive wives)," and Kang Hyung-ho confessed, "The more we go, the more we rely on them. The three wives get along well," bringing smiles to everyone.
