Jung Woo-sung Makes Public Appearance at Disney+ Original Preview 2025 Amid Scandal
Jung Woo-sung, now a married man, made a public appearance at the 'Disney+ Original Preview 2025'.

On the 13th, The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific (APAC) held the 'Disney+ Original Preview 2025' at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. This event was an opportunity to preview upcoming APAC and global original content on Disney+. The lineup included APAC originals from countries like Korea and Japan, as well as general entertainment, with top stars and creative partners in attendance.

Set against the backdrop of the tumultuous 1970s, 'Made in Korea' tells the story of Baek Ki-tae (played by Hyun Bin), who is ambitious for wealth and power, and prosecutor Jang Geon-young (played by Jung Woo-sung), who risks everything to stop him, as they face a monumental event that transcends the era.

Hyun Bin takes on the role of Baek Ki-tae, while Jung Woo-sung plays the determined prosecutor Jang Geon-young, characterized by his animalistic instincts and fierce determination.

Jung Woo-sung, who was embroiled in a scandal involving an illegitimate child, appeared noticeably thinner. He shared, "I initially thought the energetic and spirited character of Jang Geon-young didn't suit me, but as I read the script, I felt there was something I could bring to the role. So, I took the leap."

Discussing the appeal of the project, Jung Woo-sung said, "'Made in Korea' places fictional characters within real historical events. Typically, stories about modern history focus on the relationship between individuals caught in events and their circumstances. However, 'Made in Korea' dramatizes human desires, inner struggles, and survival in such an era based on historical facts. It's an intriguing watch."

When asked why audiences should watch the series, Jung Woo-sung simply replied with a smile, "Because it's fun."

In November last year, Jung Woo-sung was rumored to be the father of model Moon Ga-bi's son, sparking controversy. Reports soon followed about a long-term girlfriend, and photos of Jung Woo-sung with a woman circulated online. There were also claims from individuals who said they received 'flirting DMs' from him. At the time, his agency declined to comment, citing privacy.
