'Taxi Driver 3' Returns: A Thrilling Comeback of the Beloved Series

The 'Taxi Driver' series is making a comeback after two years.

Premiering on the 21st, SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3' is based on a webtoon of the same name. The series follows the mysterious taxi company Rainbow Transport and its driver Kim Do-gi, who delivers justice for wronged victims through private revenge.

The 'Taxi Driver' series ranked 5th in viewership ratings among all domestic terrestrial and cable dramas aired since 2023, with Season 2 reaching a 21% rating. Season 1's highest rating was 16%. Additionally, it won the Best Drama Series award at the 28th Asian Television Awards (ATA), Asia's most prestigious media awards, last year.

A key reason for the series' popularity is the stellar performance of actor Lee Je-hoon. Portraying Kim Do-gi, a taxi driver who avenges wronged victims, Lee delivers thrilling action scenes that provide viewers with vicarious satisfaction. His warm portrayal of the close-knit relationships within the Rainbow Five, including Kim Eui-sung (as Jang Representative), Pyo Ye-jin (as Go-eun), Jang Hyuk-jin (as Choi Supervisor), and Bae Yoo-ram (as Park Supervisor), has solidified his role as an irreplaceable hero character.

The consistent chemistry of the Rainbow Five, who have been together for three consecutive seasons, is another major strength of the 'Taxi Driver' series.
