Emotional Turmoil: Jung So-min and Choi Woo-shik Face Heartbreaking Separation in 'Would You Marry Me?'

In a dramatic turn of events, Jung So-min and Choi Woo-shik's characters confront a heartbreaking separation with a kiss that reveals their true feelings.

On the 9th episode of SBS's 'Would You Marry Me?' (directed by Song Hyun-wook, Hwang In-hyuk, written by Lee Hana), which aired on the 7th at 9:50 PM, viewers witnessed Yu Meri (played by Jung So-min) being forced to break up with Kim Woo-joo (played by Choi Woo-shik) due to threats from her ex-fiancé, Kim Woo-joo (played by Seo Bum-june).

During the episode, as Yu Meri bids farewell to Kim Woo-joo, he confesses his true feelings, trying to salvage their relationship. Meanwhile, tension rises as Baek Seong-hyeon (played by Bae Na-ra) from Botte Department Store begins to suspect the couple's secret.

Yu Meri's ex-fiancé discovers that she won the Botte Palace while still married to him and that she and Kim Woo-joo are pretending to be newlyweds. He threatens Yu Meri, saying, "If you don't end it with him, I'll ruin him," and warns her of dire consequences.

Fearing for Kim Woo-joo's safety, Yu Meri starts to distance herself. When Kim Woo-joo questions her behavior, she coldly responds, "Everyone else will call me a fraud," and suggests that confessing might ruin her chance at a better life.

Yu Meri hints at a breakup, saying, "Even if I confess, how can I persuade the chairman and endure the resentment from those around you? I don't want to live under scrutiny."

When Kim Woo-joo asks if she's breaking up with him, Yu Meri confirms, "Yes, let's break up," and leaves without looking back. Despite her words, Yu Meri is heartbroken, and Kim Woo-joo is equally devastated.

Later, Yu Meri warns her ex-fiancé, "I did as you said, so leave him alone." However, he shamelessly suggests they start over, kneeling before her. Despite his promises not to report her, Yu Meri remains firm in her decision to confess, prompting him to react violently.

At that moment, Kim Woo-joo intervenes, protecting Yu Meri and warning her ex-fiancé, "If you want to threaten someone, threaten me. Do whatever you want, but never appear before Yu Meri again." Enraged, her ex-fiancé leaves.

Kim Woo-joo embraces Yu Meri, confessing, "The hardest thing is being without you. Don't say you'll leave for my sake. If you truly care for me, stay by my side. Even if it's just for a day, I want to be with you," sealing his words with a kiss.

Meanwhile, Kim Woo-joo plans to introduce Yu Meri to his grandmother, Go Pil-nyeon (played by Chung Ae-rie), at the 80th anniversary event of Myeongsundang. However, Baek Seong-hyeon overhears their conversation, growing suspicious of their marital status. He directly confronts Kim Woo-joo, asking, "What is your relationship with Team Leader Yu Meri? Are you really married?" leaving Kim Woo-joo flustered.
