EXO's D.O. Signs Exclusive Contract with Blitzway Entertainment

EXO's D.O. (Doh Kyung-soo) has signed an exclusive contract with Blitzway Entertainment. Previously, it was reported that his contract with the one-man agency Company Soosoo expired on the 4th.

On Wednesday, the 5th, Hong Min-ki(홍민기), CEO of Blitzway Entertainment, expressed his excitement, stating, "We are thrilled to join forces with Doh Kyung-soo, a global artist loved by K-POP fans worldwide and an actor recognized for his acting skills both domestically and internationally." He added, "Through our recently established music management system, we will fully support not only Doh Kyung-soo's acting but also his group activities and solo albums."

Blitzway Entertainment expanded its business scope by acquiring the music label KLAP in May this year. Having grown with a focus on actor management and video content production, Blitzway has strengthened its foundation as a comprehensive entertainment company by adding the K-POP business, and it is expected to create synergy in all areas of Doh Kyung-soo's activities.

Doh Kyung-soo debuted in 2012 with EXO-K's mini-album 'MAMA,' ushering in a new era of K-POP. As the main vocalist of EXO, he showcased his charming voice and stable live performance skills, proving his presence as a vocalist with sophisticated R&B-based singing techniques. Through EXO's activities, he has produced numerous hit songs such as 'Growl,' 'LOVE ME RIGHT,' and 'Ko Ko Bop,' representing the global status of K-POP by winning the 'MAMA Album of the Year' award for five consecutive years.

He began building a diverse filmography as an actor starting with SBS's 'It's Okay, That's Love' in 2014. He has showcased his delicate acting skills in numerous works, including the films 'Swing Kids,' the 'Along with the Gods' series, 'My Annoying Brother,' 'Cart,' and KBS2's 'Bad Prosecutor,' seamlessly transitioning between the screen and television. Notably, in tvN's '100 Days My Prince,' he perfectly portrayed a character with both coldness and innocence, breaking the record for the highest viewership ratings for a tvN Monday-Tuesday drama. Doh Kyung-soo is set to reveal a new side in Disney+'s 'The Manipulated,' released today, the 5th.

Doh Kyung-soo's charm is also evident through variety shows. In 2023, he garnered significant attention with his natural chemistry with close actor friends on tvN's 'Green Bean, Red Bean : Reap What You Sow,' and in the currently airing 'Green Bean, Red Bean spin-off : Joy Pops Laugh Pops,' he is showcasing his calm and strategic personality with a subtle sense of humor, earning the nickname 'Maknae on Top.'
