Actress Ok Ja-yeon Reveals Her Secret to Academic Success and Journey to Acting

Actress Ok Ja-yeon candidly shared her secrets to being a top student and her school days.

On the 31st, the 'PDC by PDC' channel released a video titled "Top of the Class! Studying Was the Easiest (feat. Seoul National University)."

In the video, Ok Ja-yeon appeared and revealed her secrets to getting accepted into Seoul National University, drawing attention. Ok Ja-yeon stated, "I am receiving acting coaching. I think I am lacking, so I work hard. (Kim) Shin-rok really loves learning and even went abroad to learn. I realized how deeply she is immersed in learning, and I feel like I've been living life by trial and error," she shared about her passion for learning.

The production team asked Ok Ja-yeon, a Seoul National University alumna, about her decision to pursue acting, suggesting that graduating from such a prestigious university guarantees a promising future. Ok Ja-yeon confessed, "I was often told I looked smart and intelligent rather than pretty since middle and high school."

She continued, "I never missed being the top student in my school. I hardly attended any academies, except for a brief period at an English conversation academy and a semester of advanced English and math studies. I mostly studied on my own," she explained about her self-directed learning.

Ok Ja-yeon revealed that she found studying enjoyable in the second year of middle school and shared her study secrets. She said, "I enjoyed making study plans. I didn't know how to prepare for exams until a friend took me to the library and showed me how to draw up a study plan. It's all about setting and clearing exam plans, but life doesn't have clear answers. All the answers are in the textbooks," she emphasized.
