Actor Lee Joo-an Shines with Versatility in 'The Tyrant's Chef'
On the YouTube channel 'Hong Seok-cheon's Jewel Box', a video titled 'The Jewel Lee Joo-an, Loved by Top Gay for 10 Years' was uploaded.
In the video, Lee Joo-an reveals the behind-the-scenes efforts he made to perfectly portray the handsome clown Gong-gil in the popular drama 'The Tyrant's Chef', including acrobatics, ballet, and pansori.
Lee Joo-an shared his experience of mastering martial arts and the clown role in the drama. He stated, "Since the role is a clown, I learned acrobatic gymnastics called 'tricking'," indicating his professional training.
He also mentioned, "Since the role involves dancing, I thought it would be good to make the lines beautiful, so I learned ballet," surprising many.
Particularly, Hong Seok-cheon expressed his admiration for Lee Joo-an, revealing his fandom. Hong Seok-cheon, born in 1971, and Lee Joo-an, born in 1996, shared a moment where Hong complimented Lee's physique in a drama scene, to which Lee humbly responded, "I've been working out consistently, but it seemed to look especially good in the drama."
When asked about the secret to his handsome appearance, Lee Joo-an credited his parents, saying, "I don't think I'm handsome, but I believe I inherited the good traits of my mother and father." Regarding his current long hair style, he commented, "I started growing it during my first historical drama, and it became long by the end. Don't guys want to try long hair at least once?" drawing attention.
