Lee Je-hoon Shares Excitement for 'Taxi Driver 3' Premiere

Actor Lee Je-hoon has expressed his excitement as the new season of the drama 'Taxi Driver 3' is set to premiere.

SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3' is based on a webtoon of the same name. The series follows the mysterious taxi company Rainbow Transport and taxi driver Kim Do-gi as they carry out private revenge missions for wronged victims.

The 'Taxi Driver' series has been a hit, ranking 5th in viewership ratings among all domestic terrestrial and cable dramas aired since 2023, with Season 2 reaching a 21% viewership rating. Season 1 had a peak rating of 16%. Additionally, it won the Best Drama Series award at the 28th Asian Television Awards (ATA), Asia's most prestigious media awards, last year.

Lee Je-hoon stated, "It's not easy for a drama in Korea to reach a third season, so it's incredibly moving and an honor as an actor." He added, "Every time I hear that people are waiting for Season 3, it gives me more strength. It seems we've come this far because viewers are looking forward to the next story."

This season, the entire Rainbow Five, including Kim Eui-sung (as Jang Representative), Pyo Ye-jin (as Go Eun), Jang Hyuk-jin (as Choi Supervisor), and Bae Yoo-ram (as Park Supervisor), have joined, creating a buzz. Lee Je-hoon commented, "I was happy and excited to be together. I remember when Season 3 was confirmed, we congratulated each other in our group chat. Now, our chat is mostly about food, baseball, and everyday conversations, making it feel like a family."

He continued, "On set, there's never a dull moment. Although Do-gi has to be serious in the drama, it's hard not to laugh just by looking at each other. I think the laughter and camaraderie we share come across on screen, and that's why viewers love it."

Lee Je-hoon also highlighted key points to watch in 'Taxi Driver 3'. He said, "You'll see a more perfect Rainbow Transport than in previous seasons. Not only is the teamwork improved, but there are upgraded elements hidden throughout, making it more enjoyable to watch." He added, "In episodes 3-4, a character named Ho-gu Do-gi appears, and I found the character very cute and fun, so I acted with the hope that viewers would love it."
