Actress Sami Ja Shares Emotional Memories of Her Late Mother
On the 29th, Sami Ja appeared on Kim Young-ok's channel, where she expressed her longing for her mother, who passed away early in her life.
In the released video, Sami Ja shared a heartfelt conversation about family with her close friend Kim Young-ok. When Kim Young-ok mentioned, "My parents passed away when I was 52," Sami Ja responded, "My mom passed away when I was 23. She kept losing weight, and when we went to the hospital, they said it was cancer. I asked her what she wanted to eat, and she said she wanted jajangmyeon," revealing the heartbreaking moment when her mother was diagnosed with cancer.
Even now, Sami Ja says that seeing tangsuyuk reminds her of her mother. "Tangsuyuk has become such a common dish since then. If my sister ordered it, I would say I wouldn't eat it because it reminds me of mom. Every time I see tangsuyuk, my heart aches. Now, I could give her ten times more, but back then, I didn't even have a thousand or two thousand won," she confessed.
Kim Young-ok also shared her own pain, mentioning her grandson who had a major accident nine years ago. "I can't forget, but I live as if I have. It's like self-hypnosis," she said, opening up about her feelings. The two shared deep empathy and understanding as they discussed their personal experiences and sorrows.
