Kang Tae-poong Faces Off Against Loan Sharks in 'Typhoon Company'
In the fifth episode of tvN's weekend drama 'Typhoon Company,' aired on the 25th, the company led by Lee Junho's character faces another crisis.
Previously, Kang Tae-poong had secured a contract for 500 pairs of safety shoes with Park Yoon-chul, played by Jin Seon-kyu, who runs the 32-year-old safety shoe brand, Shoe Park. However, Kang Tae-poong discovers that Park Yoon-chul has gone bankrupt. Park confesses that he used the advance payment from Kang to pay off loan interest, but the interest has only increased.
Kang Tae-poong shouts, "Where did my advance payment go? Is there nothing left?" to which Jin Seon-kyu's character responds, "The factory and house have all been taken by the bank. There's nothing left, and it will only end if I die," showing his despair.
Eventually, his mother, Jung Jung-mi, played by Kim Ji-young, comforts him, saying, "Talk to me if you're struggling," leading Kang Tae-poong to break down in tears in her arms, admitting, "All the money is gone, and I don't know where to start."
Upon seeing the envelope of money, Kang Tae-poong refuses, saying, "I can't accept this. Isn't this account a symbol of my father's heart?" Oh Mi-sun insists, "I've already accepted the sentiment. I intended to return the money. Let's retrieve the safety shoes and sell them together, even if it's just for a thousand won more."
