Shocking Twist in 'First Lady': Lee Min-young Confesses to Murder
In a jaw-dropping twist, Lee Min-young confessed to the murder of Jo Young-ji, the former lover of Ji Hyun-woo and biological mother of Han Soo-ah, leaving viewers stunned.

In the 10th episode of MBN's Wednesday-Thursday miniseries 'First Lady', which aired on the 23rd at 10:20 PM, Cha Soo-yeon (played by Eugene) faced off with Lee Hwa-jin (played by Han Soo-ah), who had revealed that she was the illegitimate child of Hyun Min-chul (played by Ji Hyun-woo). Lee Hwa-jin demanded a paternity test, asking not to be bothered further if proven to be the daughter.

Lee Hwa-jin provocatively asked if she would be accepted as family if the test confirmed her as the daughter, angering Cha Soo-yeon. Just as Lee Hwa-jin was about to sign the consent form for the DNA test, Yang Hoon (played by Lee Si-kang) called, revealing, "The murderer of your mother is Cha Soo-yeon," shocking Lee Hwa-jin.

Cha Soo-yeon received a call from a detective and headed to the police station, raising suspicions about her involvement in the hit-and-run case of Eom Soon-jung (played by Jo Young-ji). When Cha Soo-yeon asked if it was related to Lee Hwa-jin's necklace, the detective mentioned a yellow compact car that was scrapped after an accident while fleeing from reporters with her daughter Hyun Ji-yoo (played by Park Seo-kyung). The detective then presented skid marks from the scrapped car and black box footage from a passing delivery vehicle, along with photos of the victim Eom Soon-jung's body.

The detective, aware of Cha Soo-yeon's connection to the victim Eom Soon-jung and her daughter Lee Hwa-jin, asked, "Where were you at 5 PM on February 26th?" Cha Soo-yeon requested a lawyer without answering.

Meanwhile, Yang Hoon met with Lee Hwa-jin, insisting that Cha Soo-yeon was the culprit and urging her to refuse the paternity test. He mentioned presidential pardons, emphasizing, "As long as Hwa-jin stands firm, not even the president can do anything. Your wife killed the mother of the daughter you abandoned."

When Lee Hwa-jin retorted, "What do you gain from this?" Yang Hoon, calling her by her real name, Eom Min-jung, pressured her by bringing up a murder case she committed, saying, "It's for your mother, who died a week after you were released from prison for a crime you didn't commit."

Cha Soo-yeon remained silent about her whereabouts on 'February 26th at 5 PM' even after her lawyer Kang Sun-ho (played by Kang Seung-ho) arrived. Kang Sun-ho urged her to cooperate with the investigation, but Cha Soo-yeon discreetly asked him to do something for her. She hinted that her housekeeper, Sung Hyun-sook (played by Kim Gwak Kyung-hee), was driving the car during Eom Soon-jung's accident, asking Kang Sun-ho to protect and defend her.

Kang Sun-ho tried to stop Sung Hyun-sook from going to the police station, but eventually gave in to her earnest plea and got into the car with her. As they headed to the station, a delivery vehicle, under Yang Hoon's orders, crashed into their car, leaving Kang Sun-ho and Sung Hyun-sook unconscious and bleeding.

Hyun Min-chul, upon hearing that Cha Soo-yeon was being investigated for the hit-and-run case, ignored his secretary Lee Beom-seok's (played by Lee Myung-hoon) advice to stay away, stating, "It doesn't matter if I'm a witness or not. What's important is that I'm her husband," and headed to the police station. Upon arrival, he was bombarded by reporters questioning his involvement in the murder and hit-and-run case, with the public demanding his resignation. However, Hyun Min-chul declared, "I will bear the anger and resentment. I will not turn my back on my wife out of fear."

Suddenly, Shin Hae-rin (played by Lee Min-young) appeared, declaring, "The president-elect is not involved in the hit-and-run case," drawing everyone's attention. When a reporter asked, "How can you be sure when it's under investigation?" Shin Hae-rin, with a trembling voice, confessed, "Because I'm the culprit. I am the one who killed Eom Soon-jung," shocking Hyun Min-chul. The revelation left viewers questioning whether Shin Hae-rin is indeed the true culprit or if she is sacrificing herself for another, heightening anticipation for the next episode.
