Former volleyball star turned rookie coach Kim Yeon-koung recently expressed her frustrations about a demanding schedule, claiming she was deceived by MBC and the show's producer.

On the October 19th episode of MBC's variety show 'Rookie Coach Kim Yeon-koung,' Kim and her team, Wonder Dogs, were interviewed the night before their match against Japan's top high school volleyball team, Shujitsu High School.

During the pre-match interview, Kim Yeon-koung emphasized the importance of winning the Korea-Japan match. However, she candidly shared her concerns about the hectic schedule with the production team.

When asked by the producer how many days she had dedicated to the show that week, Kim replied, "I haven't had a single day off this week. Next week will be the same. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry," showing a near-tearful expression.

She jokingly added, "I was deceived by MBC and the producer. They're con artists. I lost my voice and personal life because of them," eliciting laughter. However, she soon expressed genuine concern, saying, "I'm worried about how my voice will be portrayed on the show. Why is this interview so long? It's 11 PM. Are you crazy?"

Kim Yeon-koung compared her experiences as a player to her current challenges and passion as a rookie coach. Despite having no personal time and not a single day off, she remains dedicated to her team, showing her genuine self in front of the camera.

Meanwhile, Kim Yeon-koung has transitioned into a rookie coach after retiring, using her unique insights and experience as a former player to lead Wonder Dogs with strong leadership.
