In the video, Bae Jin-young remarked, "I never imagined this person would be like this," while Miyeon smiled and said, "It's completely exciting." The two continued their date by playing a claw machine game and laughing together. Bae Jin-young later commented, "I feel like my heart rate is going to explode," as they walked under an umbrella together. The video ended with a caption saying, "More exciting than I thought," and announced a release date of the full video on the 16th at 6:30 PM.

However, the fan reaction was icy. Comments such as "It's not heart-fluttering, it's heart attack-inducing," "Supply without demand," and "Is this the revival of 'We Got Married'? Who is this content for?" flooded in. As the controversy grew, the teaser was made private, and the full video, initially scheduled for release at 6:30 PM on the 16th, was not uploaded. Instead, the channel issued an apology notice at 10 PM, 3 hours and 30 minutes later.
Prior to this, Bae Jin-young addressed the controversy during a round interview for his first solo album release on the 13th. He explained, "The issue seems to have arisen because the thumbnail said 'Modern We Got Married.' In fact, I didn't even know who the other person was or whether they were male or female when we started." He added, "It was simply a game to see who could raise the other person's heart rate, but I was surprised to see it packaged that way. I approached it purely as a game, so being called 'Modern We Got Married' was bewildering." Official Statement from TRIP KODE Hello, this is the production team of <TRIP KODE>.
After in-depth discussions, we have decided to temporarily postpone the upload of the <TRIP KODE> full video that was scheduled for release today. We deeply apologize to everyone who was waiting for the content.
Thank you.
