TVXQ's Yunho Opens Up About 'Bad Acting' Criticism on YouTube Show

On the YouTube channel 'Geunbon Channel,' Super Junior's Shindong hosts 'Shindong's Dongdongpocha,' where a video titled 'What is the Fourth Lesson That Everyone Knows Except TVXQ's Yunho?' was uploaded.
In the video, Yunho openly discussed the 'bad acting' criticism he faced.
Shindong commented to Yunho, "This acting is different from when you play soccer," referring to the 2009 drama 'Heading to the Ground,' starring Yunho and Go Ara. At the time, Yunho received criticism from netizens for his awkward acting.
Shindong mentioned a famous scene where Yunho says, "Is it nice to get married?" and asked, "Who is more in the foreground in that scene? It seems like you're in front, but the woman seems to be behind your ear." Yunho responded, "I was actually behind, but when you look at it, there's something called eye contact. I didn't know anything about eye contact back then."
Shindong asked, "So, where were you looking while speaking?" Yunho explained, "When we talk, we usually look in this direction. But with the camera there, I didn't know how to prepare for reactions." He continued, "The scriptwriter wrote the line, and usually, you'd say, 'Hey, is it nice? Is it?' But back then, my delivery was off, and it came out as 'Is it nice to wear a wedding dress?'"

Yunho replied, "I remember clearly because I memorized the script. It was a scene where my character, Cha Bong-gun, was happy after scoring a goal, and the actress Go Ara's line was 'You're a monster.'" Yunho added, "I thought I should look like a monster, so I tried to act like a gorilla, but no matter what I did, I still looked human," which brought laughter.
Yunho reflected, "Looking back, I didn't know what I was doing at the time. I auditioned, and they must have seen my desire to work hard." He continued, "I didn't realize it was bad acting, but the subsequent criticism made me feel very small. People told me not to act and said many negative things, and I didn't understand the depth of acting."
