Singer Yoo Yeol Triumphs Over Pulmonary Fibrosis: A Miraculous Recovery

On the 15th, the YouTube channel '새롭게하소서CBS' uploaded a video titled 'Yoo Yeol's Testimony You Haven't Heard Anywhere | Evangelist Yoo Yeol.'
In the video, Yoo Yeol recalled, "Nine years ago, during a comprehensive medical check-up, I was told there was a possibility of pulmonary fibrosis. In 2019, I was hospitalized with acute pneumonia, and a biopsy confirmed it was pulmonary fibrosis." He admitted that he didn't take the doctor's advice seriously, which was to stay in places with good air quality and exercise regularly, as there was no cure, only medication to slow the progression.
However, in May of last year, he returned to the hospital with the flu and a high fever, and was diagnosed with a pneumothorax. His weight had dropped to 41kg. Yoo Yeol recalled, "While most people could recover through other means, I was told I might die because my lungs had hardened. I couldn't even be anesthetized, but strangely, I endured the procedure."

Thanks to the surgery recommended by Seoul National University Hospital and consistent rehabilitation therapy, Yoo Yeol miraculously regained his health. He confessed, "There were risky moments with arrhythmia after the surgery, and I even wrote a will. Fortunately, I have now fully recovered."
