Jinyoung Unveils Jeon Yeo-bin's True Identity in 'Good Woman Busami', Shocking Viewers

In the fifth episode of Genie TV's original series 'Good Woman Busami', released on Monday, the 13th, Kim Young-ran (played by Jeon Yeo-bin) faces consecutive crises in her life reset project, heightening the tension among viewers. The episode achieved a nationwide rating of 5.9% and a metropolitan rating of 5.5%, setting a new personal record and continuing its upward trend. It also captured the hearts of viewers across all generations with a 1.6% rating among the 2049 demographic, according to Nielsen Korea.

While Kim Young-ran engaged in a psychological battle with Baek Hye-ji, siblings Ga Sun-young (played by Jang Yoon-ju) and Ga Sun-woo (played by Lee Chang-min) intensified their search for Kim Young-ran, increasing the tension. Ga Sun-woo took Kim Young-ran's mother, Kim So-young (played by So Hee-jung), hostage, while Ga Sun-young framed Kim Young-ran's ally, Lee Don (played by Seo Hyun-woo), for embezzlement, expelling him from the mansion and deploying her minions to search for Ga Sung-ho's will.
Caught in Ga Sun-young's scheme, Lee Don sent a text to Kim Young-ran, instructing her to execute Plan B while being escorted to the police station. Upon receiving Lee Don's message, Kim Young-ran immediately retrieved a hidden USB and headed to an internet cafe, sending an email to a reporter from Lee Don's account, exposing Ga Sun-woo's corruption. The email revealed Ga Sun-woo's secret dealings with a private equity fund to sell Ga Sung Group.
This Plan B, which aimed to drive a wedge between the Ga siblings and exact revenge, was part of a grand scheme orchestrated by Kim Young-ran and Chairman Ga Sung-ho, adding to the intrigue. As expected, Ga Sun-woo's misdeeds were exposed, prompting Ga Sun-young to react with anger and hostility, foreshadowing conflict between the greedy siblings.

The fact that Busami's hair tie matched Kim Young-ran's and that Busami was a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo led Jeon Dong-min to recall a fleeting memory of someone from his past. Ultimately, Jeon Dong-min confronted Busami with the direct question, "You're Kim Young-ran, aren't you?", leaving her unsettled.
If her identity is exposed, Kim Young-ran's life reset project and her revenge plans against the Ga siblings could be jeopardized. As such, Kim Young-ran needs a clever strategy to navigate this crisis. The question remains: can Kim Young-ran continue to convincingly portray Busami?
