Sayuri Reflects on Missed Real Estate Opportunity and Life in Korea

On the 10th, a video titled "There's Not Just One Right Answer in the World" was uploaded to Lee Geum-hee's channel 'My Geum-hee.'
In the video, Sayuri shared, "It's been 20 years since I came to Korea. I've witnessed the country's development over the years. Initially, the base taxi fare was 1,900 won. Back then, I had to work two to three hours at a part-time job just to afford a cup of premium coffee," she reminisced.
Sayuri continued, "Twelve years ago, when I was living in Gangnam, the landlord wanted to sell the house for 1 billion won. But I said, 'As a foreigner, I don't have that kind of money,' and didn't buy it. I thought the real estate market in Korea would decline, similar to the bubble I experienced in Japan," she explained.

When Lee Geum-hee asked, "Did you ever consider living in Japan after having your son, or was it always Korea?" Sayuri firmly replied, "Not at all. I love Korea and it suits me well."
Sayuri also shared her cautious mindset as a celebrity, saying, "I always think I need to be careful. Being a celebrity is like driving on a highway. It's convenient to reach your destination, and you can get there faster than the average person. Everyone knows you, so there's no need for explanations, but if you have an accident, the consequences are severe."
