KBS Drama 'Intimate Ripley' Reaches Tension-Packed Climax with Identity Revelation Countdown

The KBS 2TV daily drama 'Intimate Ripley' has reached a new height of tension as Lee Si-ah's character faces a dramatic confrontation with Lee Seung-yeon's character in front of Han Ki-woong. The episode, which aired on the 29th, recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 8.5% according to Nielsen Korea, maintaining its top spot across all channels in its time slot.

In the sixth episode, Cha Jeong-won (played by Lee Si-ah) continues to impersonate Joo Young-chae (played by Lee Hyo-na) to maintain her relationship with Jin Se-hoon (played by Han Ki-woong). However, the tension escalates when Gong Nan-sook (played by Lee Seung-yeon) summons Jin Se-hoon and Cha Jeong-won to a wedding dress shop.

While on a date with Jin Se-hoon, Cha Jeong-won is startled to encounter Joo Ha-neul (played by Seol Jeong-hwan). She confesses her betrayal by Joo Young-chae, who stole her design book in high school, and reveals that she agreed to impersonate Joo Young-chae for a month. Despite Jin Se-hoon's sudden appearance, Cha Jeong-won cleverly suggests postponing their wedding by a month to defuse the situation. Meanwhile, Jin Se-hoon, deeply infatuated with Cha Jeong-won, seeks support from Han Hye-ra (played by Lee Il-hwa), while Cha Jeong-won is haunted by nightmares of Gong Nan-sook's aggression.

The following day, Cha Jeong-won meets with Joo Ha-neul, expressing her fear and excitement about living as Joo Young-chae. Despite the danger, she finds the thrill irresistible, leaving Joo Ha-neul shocked. When Joo Ha-neul threatens to expose her, Cha Jeong-won responds with a determined gaze, indicating her resolve.

Gong Nan-sook, frustrated by her inability to contact Joo Young-chae, visits her home, only to find Cha Jeong-won there. Criticizing the changes Cha Jeong-won made to the interior, Gong Nan-sook's harsh words leave Cha Jeong-won terrified. Later, Gong Nan-sook calls Joo Ha-neul to inquire about Cha Jeong-won's true feelings, only to be puzzled when Joo Young-chae claims to be on a date with Jin Se-hoon. It is then revealed that Cha Jeong-won used a voice-modulating app to deceive Gong Nan-sook, heightening the suspense.

The next day, Jin Se-hoon visits the wedding dress shop, where Gong Nan-sook, suspicious of Joo Young-chae's actions, awaits. Cha Jeong-won arrives, casting a shadow of foreboding.

In the climactic ending, Cha Jeong-won enters the shop, shocked to see both Jin Se-hoon and Gong Nan-sook. As Jin Se-hoon questions her identity, Gong Nan-sook accuses her of impersonating Joo Young-chae, grabbing her by the collar and pushing her, leaving Cha Jeong-won in fear. Jin Se-hoon's demand for an explanation sets the stage for an intense revelation.

Meanwhile, Han Hye-ra visits Cha Jeong-won, praising her artwork and expressing surprise at a teddy bear on her vanity. Her encounter with Cha Jeong-won's father, Ki-beom (played by Park Cheol-ho), in the elevator adds to the intrigue, hinting at hidden stories yet to unfold.
