Actress Joo Hyun-young Reveals Her Inspiration: Suzy

Actress Joo Hyun-young has expressed her admiration for Suzy.

On the YouTube channel 'Kkondaehee,' run by comedian Kim Dae-hee, a video titled 'A Shabu-Shabu Meal with All-Rounder Actress Joo Hyun-young, Who Was Invited After Three Attempts,' was uploaded.

In the video, Joo Hyun-young shared that her dream of becoming an actress was inspired by Suzy. She said, "I saw a picture of Miss A's Suzy wearing an arts high school uniform, and I thought, if I get into that school, I could become like Suzy."

She continued, "So, without telling my parents, I just took the exam and went for the practical test." Joo Hyun-young explained, "I was so naive and unprepared. While other students were preparing songs, dances, and musical performances, I earnestly performed a piece I had played at a piano competition."

Joo Hyun-young added, "I think they saw something unique in me, and I was unexpectedly accepted. When I told my parents that I got into the arts high school for acting, they initially dismissed it, not because they disrespected the profession, but because they knew how challenging it would be. They had high standards from watching many films."

She further shared, "They said I would never be able to stand in front of dozens of cameras and that I would eventually despair. They opposed my decision, but my sisters convinced them. They told my parents that I had talent and to give me a chance, and that's how I was allowed to pursue acting."
