H.O.T.'s Tony An Reveals Collapse During Rehearsals for 30th Anniversary Concert

Tony An of the legendary K-pop group H.O.T. recently confessed to collapsing during rehearsals for their upcoming full-member concert.

On the October 28th broadcast of JTBC's 'Newsroom,' all members of H.O.T. made a rare appearance together. Greeting the camera with, "Hello, we are H.O.T. Please support us," the group expressed their amazement at being together again. "It's incredible to see all five of us together," they shared, adding that it felt like an AI-generated reunion.

As they approach their 30th anniversary next year, H.O.T. reflected on the passage of time. Jang Woo-hyuk noted, "I realize how much time has passed when I see more wrinkles on the monitor," but he added, "With time, new strengths have emerged, and I embrace them positively."

The group named 'Candy' as their most cherished song. Jang Woo-hyuk commented, "It was a song that clearly showcased each of our characters," prompting Tony An to sing a line spontaneously. However, Moon Hee-joon humorously pointed out the faster tempo, saying, "Our breaths have shortened, making it faster. It wasn't originally this fast," leading to laughter. Tony An jokingly admitted, "You hit the nail on the head."

Discussing the rehearsal process for their 30th-anniversary concert, Jang Woo-hyuk revealed, "There was a member who collapsed during practice," identifying Tony An. Tony An laughed it off, saying, "I'm still the one responsible for stamina." He added, "We used to be similar, but now even a 1-2 year difference feels significant. Still, I want to regain our old energy when we're on stage."

Lee Jae-won expressed, "In my heart, I've always wanted us to perform together, but individual activities made it difficult. I'm thrilled we have this opportunity now." Moon Hee-joon shared his anticipation for their 30th anniversary next year, saying, "We haven't discussed it yet, but my hope is to perform at least once a year."
