Shinji Opens Up About Marriage Controversy on 'My Ugly Duckling'

Shinji from Koyote candidly addressed the controversies surrounding her fiancé on the recent episode of SBS's variety show 'My Ugly Duckling' aired on the 28th.

During the show, Shinji shared her thoughts, saying, "Kim Jong-min has changed after marriage. He acts with responsibility and decisiveness when making decisions."

Shinji noted, "His behavior towards me has changed. He takes care of me at restaurants and lets me get in the car first. On stage, he waits for me to come down in heels, whereas before, the male members would leave first. His manners have improved, and while it's unfamiliar, it feels nice."

Shinji, who announced her marriage to singer Moon Won, seven years her junior, expressed her surprise at the various rumors surrounding her fiancé, saying, "I was taken aback by all the stories coming out."

She clarified, "Many people think we haven't been together long, but it's been over two years, going on three. I asked him beforehand if there was anything that could become an issue if we were to have a dating rumor."

After discussing with Moon Won, Shinji stated, "From what I've observed, there's nothing problematic." She expressed concern over the false rumors, noting, "I've been in the entertainment industry for 27-28 years, so I'm used to this, but my fiancé isn't, and the negative spotlight affects him despite his strong mentality."

Shinji revealed the decisive reason for her marriage decision, saying, "He treats me well and is good to my parents. Even when I'm away for events, he stays with my parents at home. My parents adore him."

With the wedding set for next year, Shinji mentioned, "We haven't had the formal meeting yet, but I've met Moon Won's parents. His mother thanked me for loving her son."

Seo Jang-hoon humorously asked, "Your fiancé says he's most afraid when you call his name. What do you call him?" Shinji replied, "I use his full name, Park Sang-moon," eliciting laughter.

Seo Jang-hoon also noted the age difference, saying, "When Shinji was in college, her fiancé was in elementary school." Shin Dong-yup joked, "To all college students, don't tease passing elementary students; they might become your partner."

Shinji admitted, "I never thought I'd date someone younger. I used to dislike younger partners, but it turned out differently," expressing her bashfulness.
