Actress Kim Go-eun recently shared her thoughts on her character's decision to refuse a $9.63 million building gift in the Netflix series 'You and Everything Else'. She humorously remarked, "Isn't it too tiring and wouldn't you have to pay a lot of taxes?"

On the 22nd, Kim Go-eun was interviewed at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, about her role in the series. 'You and Everything Else' portrays the lives of two best friends and rivals, Eun-jung and Sang-yeon, played by Park Ji-hyun. Kim Go-eun takes on the role of Ryu Eun-jung.

Describing her character, Kim Go-eun said, "Eun-jung is an honest person who grew up receiving a lot of love. You can see how loving she is by looking at her mother." She added, "Eun-jung often talks about being poor when she was young. If she were ashamed of it, she wouldn't mention it at all. The fact that she talks about it shows she's honest and speaks her mind."

In 'You and Everything Else', Sang-yeon, who is facing death, offers Eun-jung a building in Seongsu-dong worth approximately $9.63 million. After a series of events, Eun-jung decides to cut ties with Sang-yeon and refuses the gift, expressing her anger. Some viewers questioned, "Can you really refuse a $9.63 million building, no matter how angry you are?" and "I understand Sang-yeon's feelings too."

Regarding this, Kim Go-eun commented, "If you receive a $9.63 million building, wouldn't you have to pay a huge amount in taxes? Honestly, I don't know much about building donations. There are probably realistic issues involved. I think I wouldn't accept it because it would be too exhausting."

'You and Everything Else' was released in its entirety with 15 episodes on Netflix on the 12th.
