'I Am SOLO' Sparks Drama as Contestants Compete for Love

The latest episode of 'I Am SOLO' on ENA and SBS Plus showcased intense competition as contestants Hyeon-suk and Soon-ja vied for the affections of Sang-cheol.

On the episode aired on the 24th, the 28th season of 'I Am SOLO' featured a special for divorcees, where the participants found themselves in a tangled web of relationships after their first dates.

Young-soo, who had previously gone on a group date with Young-sook, Young-ja, and Jeong-sook, initiated a one-on-one conversation with Young-sook. He reassured her about his openness to family dynamics, saying, "It doesn't matter how many children you have. Family doesn't have to be connected by blood; it's about being a supportive network." He also confessed, "I mentioned in the interview that I'm interested in two people, and one of them is you, Young-sook."

Young-soo then complimented Young-ja during their one-on-one chat, saying, "The more I get to know you, the more intriguing you become." He suggested, "Let's go see a musical together if we get the chance," which left Young-ja wondering if it was a group or a solo invitation. Lastly, Young-soo spoke with Jeong-sook about holding hands the previous night, to which she responded, "I don't remember that at all."

Young-ho, on a date with Ok-soon, expressed his commitment by saying, "I took care of my nieces and nephews for a few days without their parents, and I don't want to get to know anyone else. If there's another date choice, I'll choose you, Ok-soon." He discreetly paid for their meal, to which Ok-soon replied, "I'll treat you next time."

Meanwhile, Kwang-soo and Jeong-hee shared a romantic vibe during their one-on-one date, bonding over their shared values of putting children first. Soon-ja, on a date with Young-cheol, questioned, "Can I ask you to love both me and my child?" Young-cheol assured her, "I can treat your child equally. To me, it's not 1+1, it's just 1."

After her date with Sang-cheol, Hyeon-suk returned to the accommodation in high spirits, exclaiming, "Sang-cheol! Keep trying hard, or you'll lose your top spot quickly!" She playfully buried her face in his shoulder, while Soon-ja boldly toasted Sang-cheol and declared to Hyeon-suk, "I want to win him over."

Caught between two women, Sang-cheol admitted in an interview, "I've connected with Hyeon-suk, but I'd like to get to know Ok-soon and Soon-ja if possible." Hyeon-suk, in front of her top choice Sang-cheol, openly mentioned Young-soo, saying, "I want to confirm my feelings." She later told the producers, "I feel happy and liberated. It's like being pardoned in SOLO land."

Kwang-soo took Ok-soon for a night walk, expressing his concern about their age difference. Ok-soon reassured him, "Age doesn't matter." Encouraged, Kwang-soo asked, "Will you choose me next time?" but Ok-soon declined, citing a prior meal commitment with Young-ho. Disappointed by Ok-soon's lukewarm response, Kwang-soo decided to focus on Young-sook and Jeong-hee, later conversing with Young-sook as she returned to the accommodation.

Young-sook, who enjoyed her morning date with Kwang-soo, was surprised by his disappointment over her first date choice, which was with someone completely different from him. Reflecting on their conversation, Young-sook confided in her roommate Young-ja, "I think Kwang-soo is the one who actually makes my heart flutter."
