In the latest episode of tvN's weekend drama 'The Tyrant's Chef,' aired on the 21st, Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min) expressed his heartfelt feelings by proposing to Yeon Ji-young (played by Im Yoon-ah) with a jade ring.

The episode depicted Yeon Ji-young being imprisoned under false accusations of endangering Prince Jinmyeong's life. Upon hearing the news, Lee Heon rushed to her aid, demanding, "Break down the prison doors immediately!" However, Queen Dowager Jahyeon (played by Shin Eun-jung) suspected Lee Heon of orchestrating the plot against her son, Jinmyeong.

As tensions escalated between Lee Heon and Queen Dowager Jahyeon, Yeon Ji-young urged, "Your Majesty, please calm down. This is not the way. Put down the sword. This is not the path for me. You know better than anyone that I didn't do it. No matter what happens, you must endure." Her determination to maintain her safety and innocence was evident.

After being released from prison, Yeon Ji-young reunited with Lee Heon while serving him lunch. Overwhelmed with emotion, Lee Heon embraced her, exclaiming, "I missed you so much. How did you manage to get out?" To which Yeon Ji-young playfully responded, "This is why rumors are rampant in the palace, hugging a woman you don't even like."

Ultimately, Lee Heon confessed, "If you find the Mangunrok, do you still wish to return? I hope you don't. No matter where it is, I sensed you weren't from this era." He then presented her with a jade ring, saying, "Be my partner. I mean it."
