Lee Young-ae Stars in New Crime Thriller 'Walking On Thin Ice'

Lee Young-ae, Kim Young-kwang, and Park Yong-woo are set to captivate audiences in a new human crime thriller.

The highly anticipated KBS 2TV weekend mini-series 'Walking On Thin Ice' (directed by Song Hyun-wook, written by Jeon Young-shin) premieres on the 20th at 9:20 PM. In the first episode, viewers will witness the life-altering crisis faced by Kang Eunsoo (played by Lee Young-ae), an ordinary housewife who steps into the world of narcotics to protect her family.

In this episode, Kang Eunsoo's life is turned upside down when her husband, Park Do-jin (played by Bae Soo-bin), faces a financial disaster due to a failed investment, and is subsequently diagnosed with cancer. The once peaceful life of the family shatters, leading to a series of desperate decisions.

Faced with her husband's shocking choices and the harsh reality of her family's suffering, Kang Eunsoo finds herself on the wrong side of the law. She becomes entangled with a drug trafficking organization known as Phantom, after they leave a bag of drugs at her home. Her internal struggle between right and wrong is expected to resonate deeply with viewers.

Meanwhile, the unexpected actions of a Phantom member, who flees with the drug bag, complicate matters for the Gwangnam Police Department's narcotics team. Team leader Jang Tae-goo (played by Park Yong-woo) uses his instincts to track the member's movements, uncovering suspicious activities near Kang Eunsoo's home. As Eunsoo finds herself in immediate danger upon entering this forbidden world, the audience is left wondering if she can evade the law and secure the funds needed for her husband's treatment.

'Walking On Thin Ice,' a highly anticipated series for the latter half of the year, will air its first episode on KBS 2TV on the 20th at 9:20 PM.
