Choi Soo-ho Triumphs Over Takuya in Intense '2025 Korea-Japan King of Singers' Battle

On the October 16th broadcast of MBN's '2025 Korea-Japan King of Singers,' a 1-on-1 impromptu selection battle unfolded at 9:50 PM.
During the episode, host Shin Dong-yup announced the 1-on-1 impromptu selection battle to the contestants. The participants gathered to determine the order of the showdown, which was decided through 100% real-time selection. The intense competition saw both Korea and Japan tied at 2-2, maintaining a fierce rivalry.
With Japan taking the lead, discussions ensued on who would take the stage. Takuya represented the Japanese team, while Choi Soo-ho stepped up for Korea. In an interview, Takuya shared, "I used to be part of a five-member vocal group, but our activities were halted due to COVID-19, and I've been singing solo since." He added, "I've been doing things my way so far, but I was curious about my skills objectively."

The song is one of the biggest hits from Japan's legendary band Southern All Stars, known for its honest lyrics about emotions and Latin rhythm. However, during the performance, an unexpected situation occurred as Choi Soo-ho appeared to bleed. A concerned Takuya approached him, only to find out it was fake blood for the performance. The result was a victory for Choi Soo-ho.
