Child Star Kim Sung-eun's Journey: From Fame and Fortune to Overcoming Adversity

It was revealed that the fortune she amassed at the age of 8, including 300 million won and a 32-pyeong apartment, was lost by her father.
On the November 11th episode of KBS2's variety show 'Problem Child in House,' Park Young-kyu appeared as a guest. He reminisced about Kim Sung-eun's professional demeanor during the filming of the beloved sitcom 'Soonpoong Clinic,' stating, "Midal didn't seem like a child. Even if she was woken up, she would fix her outfit and appear ready, and if she made a mistake with her lines, she would say, 'Excuse me, let's do it again.'"
Kim Sung-eun gained immense popularity for her role as 'Park Midal' in 'Soonpoong Clinic.' In a past variety show appearance, she shared, "I shot over 30 commercials. With that money, I bought an apartment, helped with my father's business, and even studied abroad. I bought an apartment at the age of 8."

During her school years, Kim Sung-eun helped her family by working as a housekeeper and doing part-time jobs. Even after entering college, her father's sudden death made life challenging, but she persevered by engaging in various jobs such as online cosmetics sales, trade, and overseas admissions consulting throughout her 20s. In 2018, she returned to acting, performing in Daehakro and regional theater productions.
Kim Sung-eun's story, from her childhood as a 'national little sister' who earned a fortune to her current endeavors, continues to captivate many netizens.
