DAY6's Sungjin shared his early career struggles and reasons for his hiatus.

On the October 10th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block,' DAY6 members Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon appeared to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

During the show, leader Sungjin recalled, "My first paycheck was 3,600 won." He added, "At the time, a cup of ramen was 600 won, so I could buy six a month and had to rely on my parents for allowance to treat my bandmates to meals."

Sungjin also mentioned that he never missed a company dinner to promote the group DAY6.

Sungjin, who announced a hiatus in 2020, revealed, "I needed a break after the 'Every DAY6' project in 2017, but I felt guilty taking time off as the team was gaining momentum." He continued, "I struggled to breathe and tried to suppress my feelings until I couldn't anymore. I realized I needed to take care of myself."

Dowoon expressed his support during Sungjin's hiatus, saying, "Even if you take a 10-year break, we'll manage on our own," showcasing their strong bond.
