Monsta X Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Special Appearance on Hyoyeon's YouTube Channel

Monsta X marks their 10th anniversary.

On Girls' Generation Hyoyeon's YouTube channel, 'Hyoyeon's Level Up,' a new episode titled 'Meet and Greet' featuring Monsta X's Kihyun and Hyungwon was released.

In the video, Hyoyeon commented, "While you guys look great on stage, many say you seem more approachable on variety shows." Kihyun responded, "We haven't appeared much on variety shows together, so I was surprised by this pairing."

Hyoyeon asked, "Is this an awkward combination? I heard you two are friends." Kihyun explained, "Usually, my variety show partners are Jooheon or Minhyuk, while Hyungwon often pairs with Shownu." Hyoyeon added, "It's fascinating to see you together, and it's amazing that Monsta X has been around for 10 years."

The duo shared that their 10th anniversary feels surreal, especially with their military service. Kihyun remarked, "People congratulate us, but I wonder what I've done in these 10 years." Hyoyeon noted, "It seems more pronounced for men, especially with military service." She then brought up a rumor about Kihyun's shooting skills in the military.

Kihyun, flustered, explained, "A friend who talks a lot, Minhyuk, started this rumor after he was discharged." Hyungwon added, "The reason for the rumor is that while other members graduated as top trainees, Kihyun received a different award."

Hyungwon continued, "We joined the military later in life, and suddenly, Kihyun seemed like he wasn't living up to his age." Kihyun clarified, "There is no such thing as a 'diligence award.' I received a commendation from the company commander, but they decided not to give me the top trainee award to avoid making it seem like I was getting too much recognition."
