Song Joong-ki Discusses New Drama 'My Youth' and His Return to JTBC

Actor Song Joong-ki, who starred in the highly successful JTBC drama 'Reborn Rich', which recorded the second-highest ratings in the network's history, expressed that he feels no pressure regarding his next project.

On the 4th, a press conference for JTBC's new Friday series 'My Youth' was held at The Link Hotel Seoul in Guro-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by actors Chun Woo-hee, Song Joong-ki, Lee Joo-myung, Seo Ji-hoon, and director Lee Sang-yeob.

'My Youth' is an emotional romance about Sun Woo-hae, who starts a normal life later than others, and Sung Jae-yeon (played by Chun Woo-hee), who unexpectedly disrupts the peace of his first love. Song Joong-ki plays Sun Woo-hae, a former child star and novelist-florist who burned through his prime too quickly.

Song Joong-ki returns to JTBC after about three years since 'Reborn Rich'. He stated, "I usually don't worry much about results. However, knowing that 'Reborn Rich' achieved the second-highest ratings in JTBC history gives me a sense of responsibility to do well. Honestly, the pressure isn't that big."

When asked what he considers most important in a romance, Song Joong-ki replied, "It's definitely the chemistry with your partner." He added, "During this shoot, I really wanted to communicate well with my partner. Chun Woo-hee helped a lot. Thanks to her, we communicated and exchanged opinions extensively, and I have no regrets about the filming."

'My Youth' premieres on the 5th at 8:50 PM.
