'I Am SOLO' Season 28: A Bold and Honest 'Divorced Singles Special'

The 28th season of 'I Am SOLO' kicked off with a daring and candid 'Divorced Singles Special', creating a 'dopamine fest' for viewers.

On the episode aired on Wednesday, the real dating show 'I Am SOLO', broadcasted by SBS Plus and ENA, captivated audiences with the first meeting of the divorced singles of the 28th season at 'Solonara 28th Street' and the initial impression choices made by the single men.

The first to arrive at 'Solonara 28th Street', signaling the start of 'final love' in Gangwon Province, was Young-soo. In a pre-interview with the production team, he revealed, "I met my ex-wife through introductions by our fathers, who were mountain club colleagues, and we worked at the same company. We divorced after five years due to personality differences." Young-soo added, "We had an amicable divorce and still keep in touch," showing a cool demeanor.

Next was Young-ho, who showcased his 'iron man' persona, having mastered ice hockey, and shared, "We rushed into marriage due to both mothers' health issues, but separated after three years of common-law marriage." Following him, Young-sik, encouraged by his high school sophomore daughter who is a fan of 'I Am SOLO', confessed, "I married after a short relationship due to a premarital pregnancy, but we divorced after seven years of constant clashes." He added, "I endured for my child," and shared that after a long effort, he now has a friend-like relationship with his daughter, who distanced herself during her teenage years.

Young-chul revealed, "I divorced after 10 years of marriage, and my ex-wife is raising our 11-year-old son," indicating he is a non-custodial parent. He expressed his preference for "an older, tall woman with children." Stylishly dressed in a suit, Kwang-soo shared, "My father was a former congressman, and despite family opposition, I married my ex-wife at 27, but we divorced six months after our daughter was born." Now raising his high school senior daughter alone, Kwang-soo stated, "I lived for my child, prioritizing her over love, but now I want to find true love."

Sang-chul opened up about his divorce due to personality differences and explained his reason for joining the show, "After the divorce, I did nothing, but watching 'I Am SOLO' made me want to be happy." Standing tall at 193cm, Kyung-soo, a former soccer player with a 30-year career and a record for the longest field goal by a goalkeeper, divorced after 12 years due to personality differences. He boasted a 'steel mentality', saying, "Having been a goalkeeper for so long, I'm used to criticism. Any criticism after appearing on the show is neither the first nor the last I'll face in life."
